Writing Lab

We are currently working on writing personal narratives during Writing Lab. Students are writing about events and experiences that have happened in their own lives. We are working hard to include all story elements and learning from mentor text about ways to make our stories even better. Talk to your child about what they have chosen to write about or spend time brainstorming some ideas with them about possible story ideas.

    • - A Mad Lib is an interactive story that you add your own words to. It is a fun way to learn and review parts of speech. Once all the words are added, the story is created.

    • - Check out these fun writing games for kids. Enjoy a range of free activities, resources, and practice exercises related to writing letters, stories, newspapers, debates, advertising, and instructions.

    • - Take a virtual writing lesson by following along with a step by step process. Build your own storybook with characters, pictures, drawings, and writing. Then share your story online for free.
